Hunter Wells Wins Scholarship for Voice of Democracy
Congratulations to Hunter Wells who competed in the 2012 Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy Program.  Hunter prepared an oral essay on this year's theme of "Is their pride in serving our nation's military?"  Students in grades 9-12 from across the state of Ohio competed against each other, and submitted over 2700 essays.  Additionally, Hunter was one of only two students from public schools in Ohio to place in the top twelve.  The other ten students were from private or parochial schools.

Hunter was one of twelve district winners statewide.  Consequently, he went to Columbus on January 28th to be notified of his final placement.  Hunter finished between 6th and 12th place and was awarded a $2000 scholarship!
