Message from the Superintendent
Good Morning,
First, I want to recognize the tragedy that occurred at the Chardon Local Schools on Monday, February 27, 2012. My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Chardon school community, especially the victims and their families.
In light of this situation I wanted to inform our community that Manchester Local School District is reviewing our emergency crisis plans in addition to our routine review of emergency procedures. In addition, we are planning additional lock down drills and coordinating our efforts with the local law enforcement agencies.
It is tragic that we as communities have to respond and prepare for the possible occurrence of senseless violence in schools. However, I can assure you we will work diligently in trying to provide a safe and secure educational environment for our students.
Sincerely,
Robert C. Ralstin
Superintendent
